NO EVIDENCE: GOP Rep. lets the dirty little secret about Biden impeachment out

rep. Lisa McClain

Fans of Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo didn’t get what they tuned in for on Tuesday morning when House Oversight Rep. Lisa McClain (R-MI) admitted that they had no evidence that President Biden changed any policies as a result of getting money from China.

Indeed, there is no evidence that President Biden received money from China.

Perhaps Bartiromo should have invited Rep. James Comer (R-KY) to be interviewed. He seems far more amenable to lying when he needs to.

Comer is the House Oversight Chairman who has made almost constant accusations that the Bidens accepted money from China in exchange for more favorable policies. It is practically Republican dogma.

Except they don’t have any evidence that China is getting any favors from Biden and, as explained below, it wouldn’t be hard to find if policies were changed.

Indeed, if anything, Biden has slipped and admitted that the U.S. would be awfully tough on China if the nation moved against Taiwan.

From a Reuters report in September of 2022:

“Asked in a CBS 60 Minutes interview broadcast on Sunday whether U.S. forces would defend the democratically governed island claimed by China, he replied: ‘Yes, if in fact, there was an unprecedented attack.'”

The United States President isn’t supposed to admit such plans. The U.S. officially supports the “One China” policy, an admission that Taiwan is historically part of China. At the same time, left unsaid is that the U.S. may also come to Taiwan’s defense if attacked by China.

If that makes no sense to you, you are right on target. Our relationship with China is unbelievably complex.

We are economic partners in so many ways. China also makes all our stuff. Ask Apple how much they value a stable relationship with China. Ask China how much they appreciate being paid to make all that stuff.

And yet, China is an adversary when it comes to throwing its economic weight around as a communist country that seems intent on creating its own axis of allies. It would also increase tensions if China gets aggressive toward Taiwan.

China doesn’t like the fact that they’re literally surrounded by adversaries. Historically, India has an adversarial relationship with China, same with Russia (though there is some movement toward each other), along with adversaries Japan, South Korea, Australia, and U.S. interests in the Pacific.

Thus, it would seem to be extremely easy to pick up on any American policy changes toward China to lessen some anxiety in what might be the most paranoid country on Earth.

And that’s why Rep. McClain had nowhere to go when Bartiromo asked: (Video below)

“It’s incredible what your committee has been able to expose so much information about these 20 Shell companies that Joe Biden set up and his family set up while he was vice president. The 176 suspicious activity reports the witness testimony, of course, all indicating or suggesting that there could be some serious crime here, like bribery or money laundering.”

“Have you been able to identify any actual policy changes that Joe Biden made as a result of getting money from China?”

To which McClain answered:

“The short answer is no. That’s what we’re trying to get to right now.”

Report continues below tweet:

Hilariously, the short answer is also the long answer. Perhaps even funnier, she is talking about official U.S. policy changes, and, if that is the “evidence” they’re trying to find, it’s not exactly DNA evidence.

The U.S. government is fairly large. If President Biden changed any policies regarding China, not only would hundreds — if not thousands — of government employees know, but Congress would also know. Many “policy changes” would require Congressional approval!

Not for nothing, but the Oversight Committee has promised “all this evidence” mentioned by Bartiromo. Still, it never quite comes around to mean anything or indicate any criminality — least of all against President Biden.

Nice try, Maria. Meanwhile, if you want to see shell companies and money moving all over the place, ask your pal, Donald Trump.

There certainly is evidence that Donald Trump tried to change policies to favor Russia, hating on NATO and trying to add Russia back to the G-7.
