NO REMORSE: Trump lawyer Alina Habba says he WON’T STOP attacking witnesses

Attorney Alina Habba is representing Donald Trump on Fox News these days — instead of in the courtroom — but that doesn’t mean she lacks opportunities to dig him into deeper trouble.

On Tuesday, while Trump was sitting in a courtroom, Habba was speaking for him on right-wing media, assuring the world that he will not comply with the gag order, even if he’s thrown in jail.

Meanwhile, the indicted former president and the rest of his team seemed to be working to send the same message.

During Monday’s proceedings, the prosecution brought up possible contempt charges for three posts that Trump made attacking witnesses, including one in which he shared an opinion piece calling Michael Cohen a “serial perjurer.”

The judge set a date for a hearing next week to discuss the matter, and in a Tuesday filing, the District Attorney requested that the defendant not only be hit with the maximum fine but be warned of jail time for future offenses, according to Newsweek.

While Trump is in court, someone is posting on his behalf on his TruthSocial account. Whoever that is, during Tuesday’s proceedings, they reposted the same article attacking Cohen. That’s the same article for which their boss is already potentially facing contempt charges and a fine.

At the same time, Judge Juan Merchan was forced to call Trump down for making comments toward a juror in the courtroom and call on his attorneys to get him under control, according to MSNBC reporter Katie Phang.

Still, Habba claims Trump is showing “respect” for the process and the law. Asked if Trump’s “social media actions” would change in response to the threat of 30 days in jail, she said:

“I don’t think so. I think that he is respectful but there has to be boundaries…I think like anybody, he’s concerned about going to jail but if they put him in jail for his First Amendment right, he will be like Nelson Mandela….frankly they’ll win him the election.”

The judge will surely appreciate next week hearing not only that Trump is still making, or allowing to be made in his name, the same posts that have already been marked as possible violations of the gag order, but that a representative of the former president is publicly stating that he won’t follow the rules even if he’s jailed.

Habba’s ineptness in the courtroom has been blamed for landing Trump higher judgment amounts, and she’s also in the midst of her own legal issues as a former employee of the Trump Organization has come forward to say that she orchestrated the employee’s silence after she was sexually assaulted and harassed at work.

You can watch Habba’s comments below.

As seen below, Trump or someone on his behalf reposted the attack on Cohen while Trump was in court.
