Bombshell new Gaetz report alleges he loves booze, illegal drugs, and “younger women”
It says everything about your character if the first thought most people have when they hear you’ve been accused of sexual misconduct is: “Of course.” But such is the case with Congressman Matt Gaetz, the hardcore MAGA Republican who now finds himself embroiled in a sordid scandal after it emerged that the DOJ is currently investigating him for possible sex trafficking involving a 17-year-old girl.
Gaetz insists that he’s innocent, but his convoluted story about a former DOJ official trying to extort him for millions of dollars does little to help his case. If he’s done nothing wrong, how could anyone extort him?
It’s already emerged that Gaetz’s claim that his travel records will exonerate him doesn’t check out. It seems all but certain that more damning details will emerge in the coming days and in the meantime news outlets are scrambling to gather information on Florida’s worst Congressman. Now, The Daily Beast has published a deeply unflattering profile of Gaetz.
Over six lawmakers told The Daily Beast that Gaetz is well-known for his booze and illegal drug habits as well as a “proclivity for younger women.” Republicans in D.C. are also acutely aware that Gaetz dated a college student in 2018 who came to town to work as an intern. He is widely disliked amongst his conservative peers, and one former GOP staffer even stated that their ex-boss would never appear next to Gaetz on television.

“I don’t think a lot of people are going to go out of their way to defend him, especially with this outlandish-sounding defense. I don’t think you’ll find a lot of people who are desperate to keep him involved in Republican politics,” another staffer told The Daily Beast.
“Even the Republican Party doesn’t like him very much,” said one GOP operative.
It’s a cliche, but where’s there’s smoke there’s fire and there couldn’t possibly be any more smoke than there is with Gaetz. His perversions and low moral character seem to be one of Washington’s most open secrets and the fact that people were just waiting for the day that a scandal would hit speaks volumes.
