FOX host Brian Kilmeade tries to blame Megan Markle for the death of Prince Philip
On Friday morning, the world was greeted with the news that 99-year-old Prince Philip had passed away. Normally, the news that an incredibly old man had moved on would be not particularly newsworthy beyond an acknowledgment of the event, but the content-starved jackals at FOX News asked themselves “how can we turn this into a culture war grenade?#8221;
The answer — as it always is — turned out to be “blame the Black woman.”
Usually a ferocious champion of the psychotic brand of hypernationalism that the political right-wing uses to obfuscate their contempt and disgust for the American people and American society, FOX News has been shameless in their simping worship of the British royal family in the wake of Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle’s controversial Oprah interview. Markle claimed that she had been mistreated by the royal family due to the color of her skin and had to put up with insulting questions about the possible skin color of her and Prince Harry’s babies.
Religiously committed to downplaying, excusing, or otherwise whitewashing racism in all its forms, FOX hosts have suddenly become ardent royalists when given the opportunity to trash a woman of color for speaking out about the treatment she received at the hands of the inbred revenants that sit atop the British throne — and the death of Prince Philip gave them the chance to once again stir the pot of racial strife.
On FOX today, host Brian Kilmeade somehow found a roundabout way to blame Markle for the death of Philip, noting that he was “enraged” after the Oprah interview. “Here he is trying to recover [from an illness], and then he gets hit with that!”
